Springfield bayonet, with scabbard
Springfield rifles, manufactured in the eponymous armory in Springfield, Massachusetts, were part of the standard armament of American troops. A bayonet was often used for close combat on these rifles, which were comparable in length to short swords.
This authentic replica of the Springfield bayonet is made of steel. The included sheath is leather with brass fittings and a leather loop for attaching to a belt.
A lovely addition to any collection and an essential accessory for the period re-enactor.
Fitting this bayonet to your musket/rifle may require modifications to the locking device by a qualified locksmith/gunsmith.
