Description
Franziska throwing ax by Paul Chen, antique finish
The Franziska, named after its Frankish origin, was used by the Franks as a throwing and close combat weapon.
The graceful form of this ax is legendary, and its raised top blade and downward curved edge were also capable of penetrating chain armor.
This Franziska, made by Paul Chen in the Hanwei Forge, features a forged gray ax head with a worn look and a hardwood handle that is thickened at the top to ensure the ax head is held securely. Additionally, just like the originals, the handle is slightly curved backwards to increase the risk of the ax getting stuck when thrown.
