Tormek KJ-45 — Centering Knife Jig

The KJ-45 is Tormek’s self-centering jig for guided sharpening of most knives. Its design centers the blade in the jig and helps produce even bevels on both sides.

Key features

• Automatic blade centering.
• Suitable for most straight or curved knives.
• Compatible with Tormek T-8, T-4 and older models fitted with a Universal Support.
• For blades at least 60 mm long, from approximately 12 mm high and up to 10 mm thick.
• Freely adjustable sharpening angle using the Universal Support and suitable angle-setting method.

Good to know

On strongly tapered blades, the blade geometry can still produce an angle difference of about 1–2° between the two sides despite the self-centering design. The KJ-45 is not intended for large cleavers: for wide blades requiring more stability, use the KJ-140.

The KJ-45 is also the jig to use with the SVM-00 Small Knife Holder, which is not compatible with the KJ-140.
