Why the KJ-45 centering knife device?
- Centering of the knife in the device for a symmetrical and optimal result.
- Centering and stabilization of blade knives with converging edges.
- Additional stop device for wide knives, such as cleavers.
- Possibility of obtaining a slightly convex cutting edge by a movement between the two stop devices.
- Robust design: die-cast zinc clamping jaws and durable composite stoppers.
- Good balance: most of the weight is concentrated on the clamping jaws, which makes it possible to obtain a better balance during sharpening.
- Smooth sliding thanks to the low friction on the universal support.
- Compatible with Tormek T-4 and Tormek T-8 machines as well as older models.
- Centering for symmetrical sharpening
When you clamp your knife in the KJ-45 centering knife jig, the knife centers itself in the jig, regardless of its thickness or geometry. Thus, this device makes it possible to center all the knives, from the thinnest to those with a thickness of up to 10 mm. It also makes it possible to center knives whose blade tapers from the back to the cutting edge or from the guard to the tip and to obtain symmetrical sharpening on the two surfaces of the blade. A simple adjustment, a perfect result.
Guided freedom:
The stop device of the KJ-45 centering device for knives moves freely on the universal support, you can follow the shape of the knife, constantly keeping the universal support as a reference point. This allows you to sharpen knives with blades of different shapes, whether craftsmen's knives, cleavers or classic kitchen knives.
Suitable for most knives:
The device for knives with centering KJ-45 centers blades with a thickness of up to 10 mm. You can sharpen knives with a blade length of 60 mm and a height of 12 mm. To sharpen even smaller knives, combine this device with an SVM-00 mini knife device. The device for knives with centering KJ-45 has an additional stop device that allows you to sharpen very wide knives, such as cleavers. With the extended universal holder US-430 you can sharpen even wider types of knives or tools.
For knives with long, flexible blades, such as filleting knives, the KJ-140 wide centering knife jig stabilizes the flexible blade for a symmetrical result across the entire blade.
