Thiers, capital of French cutlery, draws its experience from a rich cutlery past spanning seven centuries. Many models of knives have been manufactured there for a long time and paradoxically, the Thiernois cutlers did not claim an identity around a knife which would be their spokesperson. It was from this common reflection that the process of creating the LE THIERS® knife was born in 1994. Each manufacturer who wishes to offer his interpretation of the LE THIERS® knife must present a prototype to the Jurande Council and obtain authorization before being able to launch any production.
