This Smith's Edge Eater, #50910, features a versatile design for sharpening a wide range of edged tools. The Edge Eater quickly sharpens machetes, axes, mower blades, mowers, shovels, hoes and more. This is ideal for removing dents, reshaping an edge or for the first step in properly sharpening a very worn knife blade. It features a grooved handle for comfortable and safe use.

Place the tool being sharpened in a safe position with the cutting edge pointing away from your body.

Sharpen the entire edge with the EdgeEater using a circular motion. Always work the EdgeEater in a direction away from the cutting edge.

Turn the tool over and repeat the same sharpening motion on the other side. Alternate sides until the desired edge is achieved.

Remember to clean your Edge Eater thoroughly after each use. This will remove metal particles that build up on the Edge Eater during the sharpening process.
