The BUNKA KT-SG-004B paring knife from KOTAI has a honeycomb blade with a length of 9 cm, which reduces friction between the knife and the cut food. This hammering of the blade creates small air pockets between the blade and the food slices, which prevents food from sticking to the blade for nice, quick cutting.
Both the classic paring knife and the BUNKA paring knife have a small blade with a flat profile, only the tip of the two knives differs.
100% in-house, it is made from high-quality, ultra-sharp 440C Japanese steel for maximum durability. This steel combines a high carbon content for hardness and edge longevity, with the optimal amount of chromium to prevent oxidation.
The paring knife is the second most used knife, just after the chef's knife. It is particularly useful for precision operations, away from the cutting board. It combines Japanese precision and Western robustness.
