- The wrapper of the handle (Tsuka-Ito) is made of black cotton in the traditional way.
- Two menukis are inserted on the handle.
- The shanks of the sword are particularly long and attached to the handle by two bamboo pins (Mekugi).
- The sheaths (saya) are made of wood.
- The blade clamps (Habaki) are made of brass.

The dragon still plays a major role in Japan today, particularly during the New Year celebration. Contrary to Western mysticism, the dragon in Japan is a mythical animal that brings good luck. The sword has a thin harmony line. The tsuba of this remarkable sword consists of a dragon surrounding the sword.
