Specially adapted to the needs of craftsmen, the STALBERG universal ax is also very popular in many other applications in forests and meadows. Since the head of the handle is provided with a recess, the ax can be gripped directly above the cutting edge if fine work is to be done with the long, thin, straight edge of the knife. Swedish manufacturer Hultafors relies on Ovako's proven carbon steel to forge the ax heads. Hickory wood treated with linseed oil is used for the stem.
