With the penknife model, Hartkopf revives an old tradition from the 1930s. In order to adapt it to current times, the spring-loaded knife has been replaced by a bottle opener, which releases the blade lock when opened by applying pressure. The blade is individually hand forged from traditional 4110 stainless steel. The elaborate springs are made of C45 spring steel. The solid nickel silver cheeks and the brass plates combined with a redwood scale give the knife its incomparable character.
