This ceramic sharpening steel has been specially developed for powder metallurgy steels. Of course, all types of knife steel can be sharpened with it.
Fallkniven has introduced a new type of ceramic steel for sharpening kitchen knives, C10. They tested this sharpener and found that it provides a significant advantage, especially on high-quality chef's knives. Another advantage is that it has anti-breakage and shock-absorbing qualities: if you drop it on the floor from a kitchen table, it probably won't break! Surface hardness reaches 9 on the Mohs scale, only diamond reaches 10.
With the D12 diamond sharpening steel, it is by far the best solution for quality-conscious users, professionals or amateurs.
