Fixed Knife Satre S600 Black, Extrema Ratio

Satre is a lightweight and extremely durable pocket fixed blade knife. Due to its properties, it can be used in a wide range of activities and fields, including survival and bushcraft, or it can be part of an EDC (every day carry) kit.

It was created in collaboration with Daniele Dal Canto, Master Advanced F.I.S.S.S. Instructor (Italian Federation of Sport and Experimental Survival), developed.

It can also be worn as a neck knife thanks to its Paracord 550 strap. This way it is possible to hold it vertically with the handle down. The molded Kydex sheath features eyelets for attaching both a lanyard and an accessory holder.

The Satre is available in three versions with two different types of steel: The Black and Stone Washed versions are made of Böhler N690 steel heat treated with 58 HRC. This material was chosen for its resistance to oxidation, the durability of the cutting edge and above all for its proven reliability over the years.

The Black S600 is made from Böhler S600 steel instead.

This steel is used in the manufacture of tools for metalworking and the manufacture of prints.

Thanks to its chemical composition with molybdenum, tungsten and a high proportion of vanadium, it has excellent properties in terms of hardness, wear resistance and toughness.

The presence of cobalt promotes the growth of small, evenly distributed carbides which increase wear resistance. Satre S600 is heat and cryogenically treated to achieve an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC.

This also makes it very hard-wearing and gives the cutting edge a lasting sharpness. The Böhler S600 has a chromium content of 4.5%, which makes it oxidizable.

For this reason, Extrema Ratio has chosen the new EXP DARK coating. Due to its extreme hardness and wear resistance, this steel is not easy to sharpen.
