With their deep blued blades and elegant Malaysian Salais wood handles, the models from the Cold Steel® 1917 collection are absolutely recognizable! These knives and swords are all characterized by the same elegant lines and practical design. The swords, sabres, cutlasses and knives of the 1917 series recall the spirit of adventure of yesteryear, whether in the wild west or on the world's oceans. They are suitable for historical re-enactment groups of the 1830s - Western shooters (Cowboy Action Shooters/CAS), re-enactors of the American Civil War and naval battles - and even modern military groups.
The Frontier Bowie 1917 has a wide, sharp blade with a generous clip point and impressive net. By blueing, the carbon steel blade, tempered to spring hardness, received a beautiful shine. The Frontier Bowie knife's large S-shaped crossguard provides excellent protection for the hand, while the flat, slim profile of the handle with a modified pistol shape ensures proper edge alignment by preventing the knife from rotating in the hand.
A high quality leather sheath with a blued steel mouth plate and Ortband is included. The rotating leather belt buckle is wide enough even for a thick military belt. It's also completely removable if you want to stick the knife directly into your belt in a more traditional way.
