The knives are made of 8Cr13MoV steel and are available in three different blade shapes (tanto, clip point and double edge). To protect your precious fingers, each knife has a wide stainless steel handguard and the handle is optically based on the larger Leatherneck® models from Cold Steel®. These knives come with a stable Secure-Ex® sheath to which a ball chain or C-clip from Cold Steel® can be attached.

8Cr13MoV stainless steel

8Cr13MoV has similar properties to AUS 8A and is a proven steel that is well suited for making work knives. Cold Steels® own testing has shown this high carbon stainless steel to be strong and corrosion resistant. Like the AUS 8A, it has good edge retention and can also be resharpened easily.
