Designed by custom knifemaker Andrew Demko, the Cold Steel's® Grik is a functional, user-friendly utility and EDC knife.
Its unusual modified spear point blade is made from AUS 8A Japanese steel. Expertly hardened and cryo-treated, it offers the perfect balance of edge retention and resharpenability. A flat notch in the spine of the blade serves as both a comfortable thumb rest for optimal leverage in demanding work and an index rest for precision work with the blade tip.
The two-tone satin surface with visible grinding lines and contrasting polymer wheel with HTR™ coating give the blade an unusual look - the knife is not only easy to use, but also pleasing to the eye!
But what really sets the Grik apart from the crowd is its grip! It's made of ergonomically shaped fiberglass-reinforced nylon and equipped with a replaceable, reversible clip. It has such a low, flat profile that the knife fits comfortably in any pocket and is particularly discreet. Plus, the pocket clip is made of polymer for an incredibly comfortable fit. Here, your palm is spared the typical pressure points that often occur with prolonged use of a pocket knife with a steel clip. And unlike steel clips, it's impossible to damage the paint or crack the leather seats of your car!
The Grik features the proven Tri-Ad® locking mechanism from Cold Steel, which is still unmatched in terms of safety and stability. This knife is a durable and practical tool that will soon become an integral part of your daily life.
AUS 8A stainless steel
Cold Steel® has been using the same expertly tempered AUS 8A Japanese steel for nearly three decades now. This steel has been extremely well tested and has proven over the years to be ideally suited for making utility knife blades: it is strong and corrosion resistant with good edge retention and is also easy to sharpen.
