Description
The Böker P08 Damascus 121515DAM is a super fixed knife with a historical reference. The Lüger P08 is a pistol internationally known as having been used in Germany between 1904 and 1945. It is one of the most iconic weapons of the First and Second World Wars. This gun was also used elsewhere: The Dutch Navy and Air Force used the P08 in the 1920s, the French used over 4000 immediately after World War II and in Norway too the P08 was a standard service pistol after 1945. Rich in history.
Böker used this famously articulated pistol as inspiration for this fixed dagger. The diamond-patterned handle and the way the grip parts are fastened together with rivets immediately brings to mind the P08 pistol.
But it's not just in appearance that it resembles the P08. The material is also closely related to the firearm. Böker had Chad Nichols forge a damask blade from the same steel used for the barrel of this weapon. The handle is made of beautiful rosewood. A tropical hardwood species.
Böker designed this P08 as a boot dagger, even if we imagine it more in a display case. It comes with a very beautiful leather sheath. This is equipped with an UltiClip allowing it to be attached to a boot or to the edge of a pants pocket.
The Böker P08 is produced in a limited edition. Each knife is numbered and delivered with its certificate of authenticity.
