Benchmade Knives designed the Bugout AXIS locking folder to be one of the most resistant and lightweight folders in its category to accompany you everywhere. Extremely thin and ergonomic, the Bugout comes with high-end materials at an exceptional price. This premium version comes with a black Cerakote M390 blade, grey anodized aluminum handles and red accents.
Everything new, directly from Benchmade Knives, USA.
Lame: The classic drop point blade offers a solid utility, with a durable black polyceramic Cerakote finish for increased corrosion resistance and discreet use. The M390 single edge offers high-end performance and clean cutting. The phosphorous bronze pucks and double inch studs in red anodized aluminum offer smooth ambidextre operation.
Handle: The gray anodized polished aluminum handle ladders offer style and traction with more weight and stiffness. Red anodized aluminum barrels add a touch of color, complementing the light to open back construction. An oversized apple hole allows the fixation of a cord, while the black-coated titanium locking bar gives the AXIS lock smoothly and securely locking.
Doors via a mini reversible deep transport clip in stainless steel.
Bohler M390: Bohler M390 (analogue to CPM-20CV and CTS-204P) is a high-quality stainless steel for high-carbon powder metallurgy (PM) for edge retention and corrosion resistance among the highest, while being relatively easy to sharpen. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives. A relatively high volume of carbide and a coarse microstructure give this steel a lower tenacity.
