Building the Boa: a collaboration with Johnathan Shaw of Triple Stripe Knives

The Boa models are a collaboration between ArtisanCuterly and Johnathan Shaw of Triple Stripe Knives, an 18-year-old knife maker from Quebec, Canada.

The Boa is a series of 4 models with different stylistic horizons:

The Stippled Boa - structured titanium handle scales, S35VN

The Rustic Boa - gray titanium handle scales with green micarta inlay, S35VN

The Tacti-Boa - Black PVD Coated Titanium Handle Scale with Carbon Fiber Inlay, Black Blade, S35VN

The Full-Dress Boa - titanium/blue/red damascus handled scales, mirror polished blade, S90V

What they all have in common is the large thumbhole, which allows the blade to be easily opened by flicking the thumb or middle finger, and the distinctive little "harpoon tip" on the blade. There is also a flipper on the back of the blade for another impressive blade opening.
