The ideal knife for vegetables

Equipped with a wide and thick blade, the Wusaki Fujiko 10Cr nakiri knife is suitable for cutting vegetables. It naturally generates a pendulum movement ideal for slicing your vegetables, but also for chopping aromatic herbs without crushing them. It also allows you to cut your vegetables into strips, slices or shavings. At the same time, its flat and wide blade allows you to move your freshly cut food.

A remarkable damask blade

The blade is the result of damascus work which gives it an efficiency and a visual which will seduce you. How do you obtain a damask blade? To do this, manufacturers use a piece of very hard steel which they then surround with various layers of softer alloys. This mixture of steels gives a razor-sharp and durable cutting quality to the blade, in addition to making it impact resistant. At the heart of the blade, we find 10Cr15MoV stainless steel, whose hardness reaches 60 HRC on the Rockwell scale. This high-end stainless steel ensures a durable edge requiring little sharpening, as well as good resistance against corrosion.

A handle as beautiful as it performs

The handle gives you an excellent grip on the knife. Featuring an ergonomically curved shape, it is crafted with superb olive wood. Wood is a living material that generates different veins and shades on each knife. Your copy is therefore unique! At the same time, you benefit from a beautiful central mosaic that also serves as a solid rivet, two red borders offering a beautiful contrast with the wood and a stainless steel bolster forming the connection with the blade. The base is engraved with the Japanese kanji “Tiger”!
