Sica Sword
The sica was a single-edged curved dagger or short sword of Thracian-Illyrian origin. In Rome, sica was primarily used by gangs of thieves, earning these gangs the name sicarii. The weapon was also used by the Thraeci, a specific type of gladiators.
This replica of a Sica has a classic curved blade in EN45 spring steel typical of this type of sword. The edge is not sharp.
The handle, pommel and guard are cleverly crafted from wood. A brass plate has been inserted into the guard for protection.
