Chef Tim Mälzer Kamagata's knives impress with their functionality, their high standards of robustness and their minimalist appearance. With its no-frills design, the knife collection focuses on the essential properties for efficient gestures in the kitchen. After a years-long development process in Japan, Tim Mälzer independently designed the original blade shape.
The knives have a characteristic profile, due to the significantly domed shape of the blade. The name "Kamagata" ("sickle-shaped" in Japanese) is derived from this particular shape. The blades are made of stainless steel with a polished finish. In combination with the black handle, the knives show a new look and excellent properties in terms of handling and ergonomics. Thanks to the specific adaptation of the different blade shapes, the Kamagata series by Tim Mälzer offers the right knife for every purpose.
The aesthetic blades are made of 4116 stainless steel. The blades have a hardness of 57(±) 1 HRC and are corrosion resistant. The logo and personal signature of Tim Mälzer are applied to the blade and, together with the satin finish, complete the elegant and high-quality overall look.
The polished, ergonomically shaped handle is suitable for both left and right-handed users, due to the symmetrical alignment. It allows a safe and comfortable grip when cutting. The balance between the blade and the handle allows a smooth and flexible cut. The handle material of polished POM plastic is water-resistant, hygienic and particularly easy to clean. Tim Mälzer's personal "bull" icon adorns the handle end on a metal and plastic stand. thus makes a refined flagship product.
