The Gro knife is created to grow your with nature. A classic Scandinavian style knife in the shape of an invitation to the outdoors. We believe that something will make anyone grow.

The Gro Knife is a mid-sized tool meant to fill the gap between the Spire and the rest of the Helle tool line. The birch wood handle has been shaped and sanded by our craftsmen to its final shape and stained black.

The shape is intended to provide a secure grip, not limiting the user but allowing them to develop carving skills and grow as a knife user.

The blade is a classic scandi grind of Sandvik 12C27 steel. Hell crisp right out of the box.

When we started developing the Spire and Gro knives, our goal was to create a group of knives for a younger generation of knife users. A knife that we use to impart the knowledge of how to use a knife to our children because they are the first tools, and none of our children wanted a "kid's knife", so this had to be the real one.

As the old sign goes, "To learn to use a tool, you need a suitable tool to work with". Knives are no exception. And getting to know something is best done through interaction. Our two new knives - Gro and Spire - take these simple accomplishments seriously.

Letting children use a knife is controversial to some and can seem scary. Learning to use knives for what they are intended is part of our tradition and will remain so. Learning to use a tool should always be done under supervision.

The two sister knives are similar in material, quality and simple design. They differ in size and quickly became a favorite project of the design team for their small size and ease of use. Functional for all hand sizes, big or small, young or old, and the biggest knife for bigger tasks. Both equally useful and a great knife set for everyone - beginner or not!
