Great two-handed sword

The Cold Steel® Great Two-Handed Sword is the largest sword they make. But don't let the size fool you: there's nothing bulky or cumbersome about this great weapon. Admittedly, this two-handed sword is long and heavy and needs to be slung over the shoulder, but it's extremely well-balanced and easy to wield for tall and powerful people.

Weighing around 3kg and with a 1m carbon steel blade, it can literally make quick work of any pikeman or swordsman, and is equally effective at deflecting rifle butt and bayonet attacks.

In German, this large two-handed sword is also known as the Gassenhauer, as it could be used to cut aisles squarely into enemy lines.

To protect the hands from enemy weapons, the sword features an imposing crossguard with parry rings. Further forward, parry hooks not only provide extra protection, but also allow the blade to be shortened for close-range attacks. The leather-covered wooden handle is particularly long to provide a firm grip and enough space for two hands. It ends in a heavy steel pommel, which forms a good counterbalance to the long blade and can serve as an effective blunt weapon in its own right.
