Tormek diamond wheels
Tormek diamond grinding wheels have been specially developed for our water-cooled sharpening system. Thanks to their low speed, our machines are perfectly suited for use with diamond wheels due to the absence of heat generated. Tormek diamond wheels are characterized by exceptional longevity, constant sharpening capacity and retention of their diameter. Users who frequently sharpen the same tool will appreciate this feature which simplifies both setup and sharpening.
The new Tormek diamond wheels are offered in three different qualities: coarse, fine and extra-fine. The constant diameter of the wheel makes it possible to sharpen both on the side and on the periphery. Side sharpening is perfect for small chisel tools like carving gouges and chisels, as well as planer irons, wood chisels and knives. You get a bevel with a perfectly flat surface rather than a hollow cut.
When sharpening on the side of diamond wheels, we recommend the Multi Base MB-100 from Tormek with the appropriate device developed for your specific tool. The combination of the Multi Base and the device offers complete support and control during sharpening.
