Why DE-250 Diamond Wheel Extra Fine?
Diamond wheel for Tormek T-8.
Provides an extra smooth finish.
Constant shape, always keeps the same diameter.
Suitable for all types of steel and ceramics.
Allows sharpening on the flat side of the wheel for a perfectly flat bevel.
Exceptional durability, thanks to the hardest abrasive in the world, diamond.
Sharpening of all materials
This diamond wheel can grind all types of materials, including steel, ceramic and carbide. The DE-250 Diamond Wheel Extra Fine is suitable for the Tormek T-8 Original, Tormek T-8 Custom, Tormek T-7 and older models that accept a 250 mm (9 7/8") wheel of diameter.
The DE-250 Diamond Wheel Extra Fine is particularly popular with woodcarvers and others who require a mirror finish on the bevel. If you need to give your tool a new edge it is best to do this on another wheel first and then use your DE-250 Diamond Wheel Extra Fine to give the final finish.
Simplification of repeated sharpening
All Tormek diamond wheels feature exceptional durability and consistent sharpening ability. Thus, they always remain round and flat and retain their diameter. This will benefit users who frequently sharpen the same tool, as adjustment and sharpening of devices is simplified.
A perfectly flat bevel
Thanks to its constant shape, it is possible to use the side of the grinding wheel or its upper surface for sharpening. Flank sharpening is ideal for small tools such as knives, chisels, gouges and v-gouges. You get a cutting edge with a perfectly flat sharpening surface rather than a slightly concave one.
For side sharpening of diamond wheels, we recommend using the MB-100 Multi Base and a sharpening device specially designed for your tool. The attachment and the device give you perfect support and control during the whole sharpening process.
Protected against corrosion for longer life
All diamond wheels come with 150ml of ACC-150 Anti-Corrosion Concentrate. Always add concentrate to water for wet sharpening to prevent wheel corrosion. Add 10ml (0.02 pints) of concentrate to 250ml (0.4 pints) of water (approx. 4%). We recommend always using water to sharpen with a diamond wheel whenever possible, as this prolongs the life of the wheel and provides a finer surface. It is also possible to sharpen without water.
